Rain of pearl Mangareva

A well-kept secret of the Pacific, Mangareva island enthroned in the heart of the Gambiers archipelago. These mountains plunge into its turquoise lagoon, cradle of the most beautiful pearls in the world. The island is also home to a fertile tropical jungle, guardian of a still mysterious Polynesian ancestral history.
Photography taken with a Rolleiflex, manually printed in a darkroom under enlarger, less than 30 copies. Numbered and signed by the artist Guillaume Decoorne.
